Country Dove: A Hidden Gem in Elk City, OK

Delightful tea room and gift shop owned by 2 women who owned the shop and still participate in the operation. The person in the gift shop was happy to share the history of home/tea room/owners as she assisted me with looking at the contents of the shop. After I made a purchase she rushed over to the tea room to get me 2 warm heart shaped muffins to add to my bag. They were very tasty too.

We were in Elk City looking for a place to eat lunch and came upon the County Dove. My daughters and I had the most delicious meals and desserts. Served by the most amazing hosts. One of the owners even joined us saying grace. This is a MUST place to eat, visit, and shop. From what I understand the place has been open for 42 years. The place is owned and ran by two delightful women who treat you like family. The place is in a two story house and they seem to use every bit of space. When you first walk in you are in what I think was at one time the living room. Full to the brim with things to purchase and a register. When you look to the right is the dining room with 6 tables. The back of the house is the kitchen and another dining room. Upstairs is the bathroom and bedrooms full of items to purchase. The meals and desserts were homemade and one of the best most flavorful meals I have had in a while. My girls even had their sodas survey in tea pots with little tea cups. I am looking forward to my next visit just to visit, eat and shop.

From the staff ..the food ... the location... best TEA SHOP stop ever. The French Silk dessert was amazing never have I ever had a pie this delicious, makes your toes curl because of the flavor. Made homemade every day. The soup was creamy not too thick but full of flavors. Wasn't too hot where you couldn't eat. The chicken avocado corrisant sandwich was also delightful. The staff was sooo welcoming each let us tour the entire store. Honestly never wanted it to end.

Absolutely loved this place! Country Dove Food & Gifts in Elk City is such a gem for a quick lunch. The menu is just right not too many options, but everything sounded delicious. My meal came with the pear pudding ... it was surprisingly amazing! The staff were incredibly friendly and fast. I was so impressed, I placed a to-go order for my husband before I left. Don’t miss the upstairs area! They have a charming selection of items for sale at great prices. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town.

County Dove is awesome. My mother in law, daughter and I found it just by chance and decided to give it a try and we were not sorry. Its a small little place but has an amazing atmosphere. They have a small menu but everything we ordered was amazing. I had the chicken avocado sandwich on the croissant and it was very good. My favorite thing was creamy potato soup. It was fantastic. My 6 year old is very picky and she even loved the potato soup. My daughter had a grilled cheese and they even let her choose from different animal shapes to have her grilled cheese cut in. She chose the butterfly. They also ask children if they want to have a tea party. Whatever drink they want will be brought to the table in a little tea pot so they can pour their own "tea" and then their drink is in a tea cup with a little saucer and cherries on the side. They dont charge extra for this. It was so cute and my daughter loved it. The waitress Bobbi was so fun, attentive and sweet. They also have a little store there with lots of beautiful things and a lot of Christian things. We will definitely be back!! Oh and lunch is only served from 11am to 2pm. So be sure to get there early so you can enjoy this great place.

My husband and I came here for lunch, not realizing the hidden gem in our own town! The food was delicious and so charmingly plated. If you have littles, they will bring their beverages in a teapot to pour themselves and they can choose a shape for their sandwiches to be cut. We also bought our daughter a play tea set from the gift shop. Overall, the experience was delightful and we will be back!

Tea room and gift shop right on Route 66. Limited menu of soups, salads, and sandwiches but what we had were tasty. I deducted 1 star because of the limited menu and lack of choice of gluten-free or low carb options. Arriving right about noon for lunch, we had about a 10 minute wait for a table but there's a large front porch with plenty of places to sit. There's also a gift/book store with lots of items to choose from.

Lovely old house serving up tasty food and treats. Highly recommend if passing by Elk City OK. They have a stairway to heaven that you must see.
